Inviting Nominations for IAM 2013 Youth Committee:

Interviews will be conducted on 9th Feb, 2013 at Germantown Public Library, from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm. Please e-mail nominations to iam.committee@gmail.com by 12:00 noon on 8th Feb, 2013.

Republic Day

IAM will be celebrating Indias Republic Day on January 26, 2013 at the Bert Ferguson Community Center Trinity Rd, Memphis, TN 38018. We request you to come join us in remembering and celebrating this important event.

Please find below some basic guidelines for our Republic Day - 2013 celebrations:

Rules for Poster competition:

1) Poster competition is open from age 6 to 13.

2) Theme is around the topic of Republic Day.

3) Posters must be bigger than a regular 8x11 printing paper.

4) Posters must clearly indicate title and name of participant.

Rules for Costume Competition:

1) Theme will be on India and Republic Day.

2) Participation is limited to ages below 12.

3) Groups may be reorganized depending on number of participants.

Rules for Quiz Competition:

1) Quiz competition will be on India Independence History and Republic Day.

2) Participation is limited to ages 12 to 16.

3) Groups may be reorganized depending on number of participants.

Youth Committee 2012 Nominations!

Come, take a peek into how large volunteer organizations work. Gain valuable experience in event organization and co-ordination while putting your best ideas to work. Every year, IAM depends on the youth within the community to fulfil specific roles. If you have a passion to give back, make a small difference or get involved within your local community, this is your calling.

While free to implement your ideas and conceptions, you will always have the guidance and support of the IAM committee when required. You could also speak to past youth committee members to get a feel for what's in store for you. All in all, when the year is done, you will feel a sense of achievement and a stronger connection to your roots.
